Deer Processing - 2020-21 season  

Whole deer processing is not available.  We no longer participate in or will receive deer for Iowa's HUSH program.

Processing Price List 


Boneless

Trim Handling -            1 - 99 pounds / 50.00 minimum 

                                      100 + pounds / 0.50 per pound

Handling charges cover wrapping in poly and paper, and freezing.

Trim Clean Up -                    25.00
Trim with hair, dirt, leaves, etc... we reserve the right to add this fee to your invoicing if clean up of your trim is required.  Our tolerance for dirty trim, and bone in trim, is no dirty or bone in trim.


Individualized (Non-commingled) Value-Add Production Fee
 -               25.00
Value-Add processing is batched with other processing customers unless you specify this preference for us to process your value-add items individually, separate from all others.

Recipe rates below are in addition to the processing fee.

Ground Deer

  • Deer only - 0.50 per lb.
  • Add Beef - 0.90 per lb.
  • Add Pork - 0.60 per lb.
  • Add Bacon - 0.90 per lb.
  • Add Tallow - 0.60 per lb.
  • Bacon Burgers - 2.20 per lb., 10 lb. minimum for non-batched processing
  • Breakfast Sausage - 2.25 per lb. (bulk only), 10 lb. minimum for non-batched processing

Summer Sausage, 25 lb. minimum for non-batched processing

  • Original - 3.55 per lb.
  • w/ Cheese - 3.75 per lb.
  • w/ Cheese & Jalapeno - 3.90 per lb.

Snack Sticks, 25 lb. minimum for non-batched processing

Rate includes vacuum packaging (6 sticks per package.)

  • Original - 3.80 per lb.
  • w/ Cheese - 4.00 per lb.
  • w/ Cheese & Jalapeno - 4.15 per lb.
  • BBQ - 4.00 per lb.

Jerky, 10 lb. minimum for non-batched processing

Rate includes vacuum packaging

  • Whole Muscle (piece jerky) - 5.15 per lb.

Smoked Products, 25 lb. minimum for non-batched processing

  • Ring Bologna - 4.20 per lb.
  • Ring Bologna with Cheese - 4.55 per lb.
  • Ring Bologna with Cheese & Jalapeno - 4.60 per lb.

Additional Information

Deer trim is processed in the order it's received at the locker.
We strive to complete all bow season trim by January 1st.
We strive to complete all shotgun season trim by March 1st. 
We strive to complete all de-boned drop offs by March 1st.  (De-boned carcass is not accepted between March 1st and September 1st.)

All processed deer must be picked up and paid for in full within ten days after you receive a call or postal notice that it is ready.  Deer not picked up within ten days will be subject to a $20 weekly storage fee. Deer not picked up within thirty days will be disposed of, per Iowa DNR regulation.
